从理论上来说，微软应该是全世界最聪明的集体。

实际上，里面其实都是白痴。

1，IE6升级到IE7

上次在公司这个升级用了半个小时，而今天在家里自己电脑上，尝试了五六次居然都失败！

后来总算找出原因了：杀毒软件没有关，关了还没用；原来防间谍软件没有关！

估计一般使用者遇到这种升级失败早就失去耐心了

2，这是让我狠抓狂的事情：IE莫名其妙的死机

搞到了Riff Interactive的吉他教程，是把音频，谱子，以及视频放在网页里面的形式。可以使用FX，但是其中视频看不到也找不到插件，所以只能用IE。

上一次，应该是一个星期前一切都是好的，但是今天，一打开教程主页，IE就死翘翘了，只能用任务管理器强行终止。这显然搞得我很郁闷：究竟怎么回事？？？而且这个还没法搜索寻找答案！！！

然后升级了IE到7，还是老样子。

怎么办？

无奈之下找到Riff的网站，看FAQ，果然，找到了。

一切原因是中间我装了WMP11，而嵌在网页中的视频正是WMV。他们网站上说WMP9问题多多，那更别说现在的WMP11了！！！他们提供了一个解决办法，仅仅针对IE浏览器，其他浏览器无能为力。

A: Microsoft really messed up a lot of things with version 9 of the Windows Media Player. Looping audio clips will pause for a fraction of a second at the end of the loop causing it to sound awkward. It can be fixed by reverting back to a previous version of the embedded audio player. This can be done with the following steps:
1) Select Start > Run on your system
2) Type "regsvr32.exe msdxm.ocx" and hit Enter
3) You should see a message saying that "DLLRegisterServer in msdxm.ocx succeeded".

If you are asking yourself what effect this will have on other programs or web pages, the answer is: probably none. In fact, there are various other programs and web sites that will not function correctly without the same steps we provide. However, if you want to switch back to the version 9 embedded player, follow these steps to reverse the process:
1) Select Start > Run on your system
2) Type "regsvr32.exe wmpdxm.dll" and hit Enter
3) You should see a message saying that "DLLRegisterServer in wmpdxm.dll succeeded".

We are working a new version of our software that will eliminate this dependency on the Windows Media Player.

不能怪软件开发人员，而是WMP11这种垃圾的向前兼容性实在成问题。从计算机学角度来说，向前兼容应该是软件开发的起码标准，显然微软并不把这个放在眼里，反复把用户弄得七窍冒烟不可。

因为解决了吉他教程，对WMP11作了修改，现在WMP本身不能正常播放电影了

靠。。。

问题找出来了，是Musicmatch Jukebox，这个垃圾软件。一旦安装很多软件居然都没法运行！

无语

拆掉就好了
