PARADOX

这次PS3的问题是上个周末发现的，而在今天就受到了Sony送过来的新PS3。

症状先彩虹六号网上游戏死机，强行关机重新启动以后就不认盘了。怎么尝试都没用，甚至把硬盘格式化了也没用。有意思的是等到第二天早上，一切恢复正常。这点比较令我焦虑，因为这种和时间有关的问题，诸如散热问题或者其它任何什么鬼问题基本都是硬件方面的。但是我不承认也不愿意听取论坛上大家的意见打电话给索尼，认为会很麻烦。

但是接下来的几天问题没有改善，而且还恶化了。虽然塞盘进去出现了图标，但是无法运行游戏，出现错误码80010007。RV不行，RR7也不行。甚至更换了硬盘，还是老样子。

最后我屈服了，查询了以后终于打了索尼的客服。

结论很简单：正如网上大家说的，索尼客服非常好，星期天打的电话，因为家里传真机不好所以星期一到公司传真购买收据给他们，星期二就来人取走了老机器给了我一个新的。

一开始电话里面有点搞，不过第一个伙计也有道理，说你试试看别的游戏看看会不会死机——尽管这个时候已经不是死机了，而是不能读盘，任何盘片都不能读。甚至跑到Kboot下面，出现一连串读盘错误！显然是硬件问题了。

中间打回去第二个伙计有点搞，以为我还是死机问题叫我换连接线到电视机。也不用多争，挂了以后才发现我根本没法尝试因为不读盘。。。再打第三个，对方说好吧，既然你家传真机不好明天没问题。然后说会给我一个新的，并且是next day的服务。这让我松了一口气因为星期六就要走了！他说没问题。

昨天早上到公司传真掉以后打了电话，还想解释PS3的怪异行为。对方小伙说，你这个事情上面已经批准给你一个新的了。到时候你准备一下，把原来硬盘拆下来因为你的东西都在里面。这有道理，我照办。但是后来才觉悟，其实拆下来也没用，因为给我新的装进去以后还是要格式化。。。不过我不想换一个硬盘有问题。。。这还是有可能的，拆就拆了。

今天早上和Judy交待好，，上班去了。有点担心，因为我还是没有把那个Frame拆下来。。。PS3里面硬盘支架还在我的硬盘上。不过回到家里，一切担忧都艳消云散了——新的来了！

网上传说，索尼把那些返修过的送给你作为replacement，很多人弄得非常不爽。不过我不是很在乎，我只要来一个可以用就可以，总得换掉对不对。而今天受到的状况不错，表面很干净，没有刮痕没有指纹，就是有点灰尘，这也算正常。但是有一个巨大的意外。。。

当我打开硬盘抽屉的时候，原本以为是空的，因为对方不是让我把自己的拆下来么。。。

但是里面居然有硬盘！！！

晕了

然后仔细一想：我按照人家说的，把硬盘拆下来了。但是他也没说给我一个新的PS3里面是空的阿，所以里面有硬盘。。。说不定是对我的补偿呢。。。哈哈。。。

连接好，开机以后都没问题。FW居然还是1.50的导致彩虹不能玩！可惜这个不是PSP所以低版本FW也没什么用处。。。

BIOS里面的启动区没有Kboot——这东西只要一安装是没法去掉的！

硬盘当然是60G的，莫名其妙多出一个SATA笔记本硬盘。。。

然后尝试了一些东西都没问题，还算不错

至于这个究竟是不是新的已经无所谓了！

Just let you guys know my experience with sony customer service, which was quite good. And there is

I called sony 01923 653598 on last Sunday, and told them the problem I had. The guy was quite helpful, and said please try another game, to make sure that it is the faulty PS3 console not the disc. Fairly enough, I tried the RR7 and it stopped at 'loading...' forever.

So I called back, now this time is another guy. He was somehow... not so smart - he kept telling me to try another Lead cable, the AV cable came with PS3... I was too lazy to explain just answered:ok let me try that now.

But then I realized that the PS3 could not read any disc, how can I try it anyway?! Never mind, I called again. Now another guy, after giving him my reference number, he said there is no problem to send me a new PS3, but they need me to fax the Receipt (the amazon.co.uk) to them. Unfortunately the fax machine at home was so crappy that it could not transfer clear copy. So I have to do the fax thing on Monday at company. They said it is ok.

On Monday I faxed the receipt and called them. The guy said they have got the receipt and I had been authorized to allocate a replacement PS3, which is NEXT DAY delivery. He told me to remove the HDD because there is data in it. Well, no problem, because I was quite sure my HDD was fine (I swapped another HDD to make sure it is the faulty PS3). So I don't want to get a possible faulty HDD next time. I was wondering if I should keep the metal frame or not...

This morning I took out the HDD with metal frame on it, and left the empty PS3 for sony. Fortunately there are always people at my place, so they can help me with the delivery man.

When I got back from work, the new PS3 was waiting for me!

Well, it is a popular theory that sony send the refurbished console for replacement, although sony guys in the phone said it is a new one. To be honest I don't care about this, because I just want a PS3 in working condition. If it fail again, I will call them again. (knock wood...)

The replacement came without case, but it is in very good condition, no scratch, not finger prints, only with some dust which is reasonable.

And here is the surprise: These is an HDD in it! I just couldn't understand because sony told me to take the HDD away and I did, and I expected an empty PS3 anyway... However, they didn't mention to give me a new PS3 with HDD... well... I think I just take the extra HDD as a gift?

Never mind, so I booted the PS3. All factory settings, and, with Firmware 1.50 - which can not play RainbowSix vegas because it asked for upgrade to 1.70 (I believe most of your guys don't know this :P). The BIOS was also clean - no other system kboot section.

Maybe still, it is a refurbished one. But I am happy enough with it!

Now perhaps I should update the FW to 1.90 now?


Just hope this one should be fine...
